Seller vetting for AI shopping agents

Before your agent sends a shopper to an unfamiliar store, gaisho gives a verdict on the seller with its reasons. It works for any online store or marketplace seller, from a domain, a link or a store name.

Shopper asksIs this online store trustworthy for kitchen stuff?

What your agent gets

  • A trust level, best to worst: trusted, reliable, limited, caution or risky; unknown when there isn't enough information.
  • The reasons the verdict rests on, and buyer notes worth knowing whatever the verdict.
  • The evidence: what kind of seller it is, its country, when its website was registered, its ratings and where they come from, how its prices compare with major retailers, return terms and risk findings.
  • An answer in 1 to 20 seconds.

What the agent told the shopper

The DreamCloud seller, [store], has a “Limited record” rating: fewer than 20 reviews, and it hasn't been confirmed as an authorized dealer for every brand it sells, so the maker's warranty may not apply.

From the same run's final answer; [store] marks a hidden store name.

How to use it in your agent

  • Relay the summary as it is

Give the verdict with its reasons, then the buyer notes. The summary is written to be passed on.

  • Read the levels precisely

A limited record is not a warning. Unknown is neither safe nor unsafe. What wasn't checked is unknown, not safe.

  • Open the store's pages for a deal that looks too good

Listing condition, currency and return terms decide many cases. For those, let your agent read the store's own pages too.

Limits

  • Risk is read from visible evidence. It is not a finding of counterfeits.
  • Not found means no verdict: neither a good nor a bad sign.
