Finding queen percale sheets that fit a 16-inch mattress
Four hard requirements at once: size, fabric, weave and pocket depth, under a budget. We gave the same question to Muse twice — once with gaisho connected, once with its own shopping tools — in fresh chats, one after the other.
The question
Shopper asksQueen sheet set, 100% cotton percale, deep pockets that fit a 16-inch mattress, under $80.

The two answers
Muse with gaisho
For your specs: queen is ~$39.58 median, percale weave is ~$46.99 median (vs. sateen at ~$74.69), and the most common max-depth band is 36–41 cm at ~$37.79 — a 16-inch mattress sits right at the top of that band, so exact pocket depth needs checking per set.
- RUVANTI Sweet Pea — $42.99The safest bet if you want proof from a crowd. Tons of people have bought this exact percale set and it sits well under budget. Trade-off is the pocket is rated for your size rather than far beyond it, so a thick topper could make it snug.
- Better Homes & Gardens — $35.97The value pick, straight from [store] itself. You get the cotton percale you asked for for the least money here, nice if you want a second set for laundry day. Trade-off is limited colour choice.
- FADFAY Teal Heritage — $76.50The headroom pick. Its pocket goes beyond your mattress depth, so it should go on without the usual corner wrestling. Trade-off is price, it uses almost the whole budget for that extra room.
The rest got bounced: a flat sheet sold on its own was not a set, pricier ruffle and floral sets spent more without fitting better, and 56 more did not state enough to verify fabric, weave and depth together.
Vanilla Muse
My top pick is [Color Sense] at [store], on sale for $38.99 (was $53.99) — live page confirms 100% cotton percale, Queen, and a 17" pocket, in stock with free delivery. If you want maximum headroom instead, [Tribeca Living 350 Thread Count] at [store] is $60.50 and is listed as fitting mattresses up to 23" deep, though I couldn't open its live page to double-check.
One correction to my early note: a set I flagged then was dropped after its live page showed a 14" pocket, not the 18" its listing suggested. [store] couldn't be checked (its human-verification blocked access), and [store]'s qualifying set was $120, over budget.
Final answers, trimmed; [store] marks a hidden store name. The gaisho run's opening line comes from its first message, sent while the search ran. Vanilla Muse showed its products in a results card next to the text; names in square brackets are filled in from that card. Prices as shown on Oct 22, 2026.
What it means for your agent
A spec question without the browsing
With gaisho, Muse answered in 1 min 10 s on 560,090 tokens. Without it, Muse took 11 min 41 s and 5,892,413 tokens, most of them spent by its browser agent, much of that on one store's human-verification check.
Typical prices for the exact spec
Before its picks, the gaisho run gave typical prices for queen, percale and deep-pocket sets, and warned that a 16-inch mattress sits at the top of the common pocket-depth range, so it added a pick with extra headroom.
What each side verified
The browsing run opened live product pages, dropped a set whose page showed a 14-inch pocket under an 18-inch listing, and told the shopper. The gaisho run's pocket depths came from gaisho's product data; it did not open live pages.
